IMPORTANT
1. We make every effort to ensure that our wallpapers are perfect, but variations in shade or pattern may occur. BEFORE HANGING please inspect each roll before cutting and check that rolls are undamaged, the batch numbers are all the same for each design and that the pattern, colours and edges match correctly. We cannot accept claims for consequential loss in respect of defects apparent prior to hanging. After hanging 2 or 3 lengths, inspect the results carefully to ensure that no shading or other faults are apparent. No claims in excess of one roll can be allowed for defects which are visible at the time of hanging.
2. PREPARE WALL by removing all traces of dirt, old wallpaper, loose paint etc. Wall surface should be rubbed down with fine sandpaper to create a 'key'. Absorbent surfaces, i.e. new plaster should be 'primed' using a good quality primer/sealer following manufacturer's instructions. Lining paper should be hung horizontally using a ready mix 'tub' adhesive. Allow it to fully dry out before hanging. DO NOT hang any wallcoverings on a wall with a history of damp.
3. Use a ready mix 'tub' adhesive. Generously paste adhesive from the centre out, ensuring edges are well covered. Fold paper, adhesive side in, and allow to soak until pliable, (normally 4-5 minutes). Do not overlap, use butt joints. Carefully wipe of any excess paste from the face of the paper immediately with a clean damp sponge. To minimise the risk of shrink back we suggest that the wallpaper be allowed to dry out naturally, we therefore recommend that the central heating is turned off in a room until this has taken place.
