Use wallpaper to create a feature wall and create a focal point in the room

With endless designs and colours available, wallpaper is an easy, affordable and impactful way of creating a feature in any bedroom, living room, hallway or dining room.

What wall should I choose for my feature wall?

There is no right or wrong answer to this question, but ideally you should pick the wall that your eyes are drawn to when you enter the room. Try to avoid walls with existing features such as windows or doors as these can diminish the effect that you are trying to create in theΒ  room. However, chimney breasts look great wallpapered and can really make an impact. Remember to hang the first drop of wallpaper in the centre to ensure symmetry.

What colour should I choose for my feature wall?

From an easy living texture in neutral tones, to a bold dramatic pattern in a punchy colourway, the options really are endless. Opt for a large-scale print and deep colours such as teal and navy blue if you want to bring a dramatic style to the room. Or choose a more muted option if you want to maximise the light and airy feel of the room.Β

How should I position the furniture around the feature wall?

The position of your furniture will help emphasise your feature wall. In your bedroom, you may want to position the bed head against the feature wall and even adorn this wall with some wall art or mirrors for added impact. In the living room, consider placing the sofa against the feature wall.
